Consumers in the Czech Republic can now bring claims through class actions

After a lengthy legislative process, the Czech legislature has transposed the EU directive on representative actions for the protection of the collective interests of consumers through a new law on collective civil court proceedings. This law introduces the concept of class actions, designed to make it easier for consumers to enforce their rights.
