Clifford Chance advises banking club on České Radiokomunikace refinancing

The Prague office of Clifford Chance has advised a club of major banks including Komerční banka, Česká spořitelna, Citi, ING Bank, PKO BP, Czech branch, Raiffeisenbank and Tatra banka, with Komerční banka acting as agent, on the CZK 5 billion (re)financing for České Radiokomunikace a.s. (ČRa).

ČRa is a leading provider of television, radio, and internet infrastructure in the Czech Republic, delivering high-quality media content and transforming technological advancements into innovative telecommunications and IT services. As a wholly owned subsidiary of Cordiant Digital Infrastructure Limited, ČRa benefits from its parent company's expertise in digital infrastructure. ČRa provides a broad range of telecommunications and ICT services, including wireless and optical networks, voice services, internet connectivity, and data solutions for wholesale and business clients.

"This was a very complex transaction given its size and challenging timing with closing taking place in the middle of summer.

Our team worked closely with all parties to successfully navigate the challenges and achieve a smooth refinancing for České Radiokomunikace. We were thrilled to be a part of this landmark deal and wish České Radiokomunikace further successful growth," commented Dominik Vojta, counsel at Clifford Chance’s Prague office.

Clifford Chance's team, led by counsel Dominik Vojta and supervised by Prague managing partner Miloš Felgr, further included senior associates Hana Čekalová and Fola Ajayi, and junior lawyers Radek Sikora and Alena Rumlová. The transaction also involved tax support from Prague tax counsel Petr Šebesta.
